Urban and Rustic. Past and Present. Tradition and Renewal. This is the essence of MidAtlantic, Chef Daniel Stern's latest culinary surprise. MidAtlantic celebrates the best of what was and what is to come, with a focus on reinterpreting the roots of traditional Philadelphia foods. Here, the menu brings back the tastes, seasonings, spices and produce of the bustling and vibrant city market that once made its way from City Hall down to the Delaware River.

Of course, Chef Stern uses his interpretation of what was to create his unexpected signature culinary delights.  With University City as the backdrop, MidAtlantic offers guests a place at the table to enjoy the bold flavors of our region within the comfort and warmth of a local tap room. Pair MidAtlantic's food with local brews, tonics or soft drinks and enjoy live music Thursday through Saturday.

The menu is creative but approchable with the ability to offer an affordable night out or an elegant evening. There is an extensive beer list with lots of local offerings and awesome specialty cocktails. Definitely unlike any other place in the city. Try the pig wings or the meat and cheese boards!

Dan Stern once again rocks! The new MidAtlantic Taproom shines even after only being open three days. Great drinks (and happy hour with drink and food specials from 4-6:30) and delicious seasonable, local food. Try the veggie scrapple! The desserts are stand out as well!
