The potato salad is to die for- Unfortunately, Dahlak is overrated and overpriced, especially given the stingy portions.
So, I learned to make my own Ethiopian Potato Salad. (You can buy Injera, the wonderful fermented "flatbread", at International Foods on 42nd and Walnut!) Dahlak by sansell

I LOVE this place. The food is filling but not too filling and the service is speedy and polite. I'm all about the sambusa appetizers, beef tibs, and the potato, carrot, and cabbage meal off the vegetarian section. Try the cinnamon tea..it's the best. Enjoy! Dahlak by balance4me

Not only is it fun eating with your hands, but it's fun to have everyone's food come on one big plate. This is a great place for vegetarians and carnivors alike (try the lamb!) And good luck remembering the name of that flat sponge bread that's so fun to eat. Dahlak by cornflakegerl
